Open Source SW development

SESM activities on OpenSource are focused on the research and development of a new generation CORBA near real time middleware for mission and safety critical applications together with several tools used for its deployment on distributed environment, testing, dependability analyses and so on.

SESM is also developing benchmarking applications for studying the performances and scalability of DDS (the OMG Data Distribution Service) which is a technology that is going to be more and more used is several domains, spanning from military CMS Systems to Telecoms and Transportation.

SESM is also the base of the COSMIC research centre which is the born by the collaboration between three partners - SELEX, CINI (Italian inter-university consortium) and CRIAI - and whose mission is the development of Open Source mission and safety critical middleware.
